The first major wine event of spring invites you to Tokaj-Hegyalja: Barka Galéria Hotel & Étterem is organising Tavaszi Premiert, where the awakening of nature meets the debut of fresh wines. On 13–14 March, ten outstanding wineries will present the latest vintages of 2025, including wines that the general public has not yet had the opportunity to taste anywhere else.
The flavour of spring in wine
Tállya, located in the heart of Tokaj-Hegyalja, is especially magical in spring: the vineyards are budding on the hills, and the air is filled with the fresh scent of earth and flowers. It would be a shame to stay indoors during this time of year – the organisers encourage guests to put on their walking boots and explore the area.
The excursion can even start from the iconic oak gate of Barka: from here, wandering among the vineyards, you can truly experience how nature comes back to life – at the very moment when the wines of the new vintage come to life.
An exclusive tasting before bottling
One of the most unique features of Tavaszi Premier is that visitors can taste wines that still exist as tank or barrel samples and are therefore not yet commercially available.
At the highlight of the weekend, 10 wineries from Tokaj and 10 other wine regions will present their fresh vintages from 2025. These wines are now starting from the same point as the grapes: the budding season. Nature and wine thus meet in a special harmony of rebirth.
