Tokaj is not only one of the world’s best-known wine regions, but also a community where talented, dedicated women are shaping the region’s present and future. This exciting female perspective is the focus of Tokaj Sparkles – Women who bring a sparkle to Tokajt an evening organised by the Tokaji Wine Knights’ Order on 9 September.
At this special event, seven inspiring women, representing seven wineries and wine-making estates, will be present to introduce guests to their own sparkling wines or Aszú wines. The venue itself lends a special touch to the evening. In the elegant, exclusive surroundings of Villa11 in the 2nd district, you’ll be able to discover the diverse range of Aszú wines and sparkling wines together.
Seven women, seven stories, seven Tokaj wines
What makes this evening special is that it is not just a wine tasting; guests will also have the opportunity to meet the women who, through their work, outlook and passion, are shaping the world of Tokaj wine.
The event will be attended by Sarolta Bárdos, representing Tokaj Nobilis, who was awarded the title of ‘Winemaker of Winemakers’ in 2024. Representing Demetervin will be Edit Kulcsár, representing Zichy Anna Pezsgőház will be Anikó Zichy, from Holdvölgy will be Natália Demkó, Hajnalka Szabó from Füleky Winery, Laura Varga from Emerencia Selection, and Márta Wille-Baumkauff from Tokaj Pendits will be joining the evening.

Tokaj sparkling wines and aszú wines are, of course, accompanied by a fitting gastronomic pairing. The wonderful canapés are provided by József Auguszt, a member of the association.
The registration fee for the event is 25,000 forints. Association members receive a 15 per cent discount, whilst life members receive a 20 per cent discount.
