On Saturday 1 August, the Tokaj Szerelmi Pincesor will once again host one of the summer’s most delicious and atmospheric events. The Furmint, Fröccs and Lecsó event welcomes lovers of Tokaj wines, refreshing fröccs and traditional summer dishes.
The event is organised by the Tokaji Cultural Centre and the Ferenc Németi Municipal Library, in collaboration with the wineries of Szerelmi Pincesor. The aim of the event is to combine local wine culture and gastronomy with community experiences.
Several local wineries are taking part in the event: the Benkő Winery, the Breza Cellar, the Erdős Cellar, the Soltész Family Winery, Szerelmi Pince, and the Szerelmi Bor-Lak and Pinceklub will all be welcoming guests with open doors, whilst a bouncy castle and craft activities will be on hand for the little ones.
Visitors can sample wines straight from the cellar in the cellars, which are open all day, whilst the aroma of lecsó and other barbecued dishes fills the air. The music is provided by DJ Graffy.
One of the programme’s highlights is the lecsó-cooking competition, for which the organisers are accepting team entries until 25 July. As well as traditional lecsó, entries may also include barbecue dishes and other summer foods.
