Grapes from twenty-seven villages will be blended into wine; we attended the grape-harvesting event.
The wine competition was announced with the aim of establishing a tradition.
The event will focus on summer flavours, Tokaj wines and community activities.
The highest score was achieved by Matyisák Pince Tokaji Eszencia 2004.
They promise wine industry regulations tailored to the challenges at hand, emphasising the restructuring of vineyards and the issue of irrigation.
A total of 8 platinum, 15 gold, 52 silver and 68 bronze medals were awarded to entries from our country.
Essence, Aszú, Szamorodni, Fordítás and Máslás are easily recognisable and are bottled in trademarked Tokaj bottles, the distribution of which is controlled by the wine-growing community council elected by the winegrowers.
The 27th VinAgora International Wine Competition ended with several successes for Tokaj. This year, 1,054 wines from 17 countries were entered in the Budapest competition, and the Tokaji wine region performed exceptionally well in several categories.
