The creations of a world-renowned master confectioner and a unique collection of cake servers come together in the temporary exhibition at Tokaji Múzeum és Világörökségi Bormúzeum.
The exhibition entitled Édes képek, fényes lapátok will open at 3.00 pm on Friday 30 October in the attic of the World Heritage Wine Museum. Artworks made from sugar, crafted by a master confectioner from Eger
The Kopcsik Marzipania travelling exhibition brings the unique creations of Lajos Kopcsik , the world-famous, multi-award-winning master confectioner from Eger and Guinness World Record holder, closer to visitors.
A special variety of sugar paste, known as tragacanth, is used to create figurines, structures, reproductions of works of art and decorative compositions. These pieces, crafted with meticulous attention to detail, also demonstrate how the art of confectionery can become a form of artistic expression.
Cake tins that tell the story of different eras
Another section of the exhibition is made up of Éva Vojtek’s collection of cake servers. The collection features a wide variety of pieces, ranging from those with Baroque-style engraving, through examples evoking the Art Nouveau and Art Deco styles, right through to mass-produced items made after the Second World War.
